Emergency Contraception Emergency Contraception has been called the Morning After Pill. It is a treatment that can be taken within 72 hours of unplanned intercourse, to prevent pregnancy. Washington law allows pharmacists to interview patients who ask for this service, and dispense the treatment without a prescription, if the pharmacists work under a protocol with a local doctor. Hadfield pharmacists provide Emergency Contraception under such a protocol. We accept insurance payment for the medication or the cost is $25.00 for treatment.
