Custom Fitted Braces
Custom Fitted Braces are devices that are prescribed by a doctor to help treat a condition of the bone, joint, tendons, ligaments, or muscles. They can be prescribed for long-term conditions such as arthritis, or more often, for short-term treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, a sprained ankle, or after a cast is removed to protect a healing bone. Student athletes often were braces after an injury to protect a fragile area.

A pharmacist fits the brace to the affected area after measurements are taken. Some braces are stocked in our store, and some are custom made. Because our pharmacists are Certified Fitters, our braces are billable to insurance if prescribed by a doctor.

Graduated Compression Hose

Hadfield pharmacists are trained to measure and fit Graduated Compression Hose like TEDs and Jobst Hose. These hose can be knee-high, thigh-high, or panty-hose style. They have heavier compression knitted in at the foot, and less compression knitted in as the hose extend up the leg. This encourages the return flow of fluid and waste from the lower legs.

Many elderly people suffer from swollen ankles and varicose veins, that can be effectively treated with properly fitted Graduated Compression Hose. We will research your insurance for coverage if the stockings are prescribed by a doctor.
